I’ve started this site to document a project that has been rolling around my head for the past few months and which I’ve finally decided to start. It was born of many hours spent pouring over maps, both old-fashioned paper topos and flying through Google Earth. It’s also born of the hundreds of miles I’ve hiked through the Colorado mountains since I was a kid.

In short, over the next year I’m going to visit each of the thirty-one named waterfalls of Rocky Mountain National Park. I’m going to visit them each every season to watch how they change from the low-water flow of high summer, the frozen heart of winter, to the height of spring run-off.
